Ownership of Software:
Palimpsest Demo, comprising software, data and documentation, ("the software") is licensed to you by Western Civilisation pty ltd for use only under the terms of this license. Western Civilisation pty ltd retains title to Palimpsest Demo and reserves any rights not expressly granted to you. Any copies of Palimpsest Demo which this license authorizes you to make are subject to this license.
License:
Palimpsest Demo is copyright software distributed as shareware. You may distribute it to others provided you include all the documentation, including this license. You may use the software without any charge for a thirty day trial period. If you find Palimpsest Demo useful and choose to continue to use it after the end of this trial period you are required to register with Western Civilisation Pty Ltd. If you do not choose to register with Western Civilisation pty ltd at the end of this trial period you must destroy all your copies of Palimpsest Demo.
User Groups may include Palimpsest Demo on CD-ROM or floppy collections subject to the terms of this license provided such collections are not sold for profit.
Information Service Providers may post Palimpsest Demo on an information service which charges for general connection time but not for the specific right to download Palimpsest Demo, subject to the terms of this license.
Palimpsest Demo may be included on the Info-Mac CD-ROM
License restrictions:
Palimpsest Demo per se may not be sold, rented, loaned, transferred or sub-licensed for profit.
To protect Western Civilisation's intellectual property rights in Palimpsest Demo you must not, and must not allow or cause a third party, to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, copy, translate or modify Palimpsest Demo or use the whole or any part of Palimpsest Demo to assist in the development of a similar or competitive product or otherwise use Palimpsest Demo except as provided in these Palimpsest Demo License terms.
Termination of License:
This license will be terminated by Western Civilisation pty ltd if you breach these license terms. Upon any termination of this license, you must destroy or return Palimpsest Demo to Western Civilisation pty ltd.
Liability:
To the extent permitted by law, Western Civilisation excludes all warranties and representations relating to Palimpsest Demo. Nothing in these terms will exclude, restrict or modify any condition, warranty, right or remedy implied or imposed by statute or regulation to the extent that it cannot be lawfully excluded, restricted or modified. If any condition or warranty is implied, into this license under a statute or regulation and cannot be excluded, the liability of Western Civilisation for a beach of the condition or warranty will be limited to the replacement of the product, or a refund of the purchase price at the option of Western Civilisation. Except to that extent, Western Civilisation will not be liable in contract or tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss or damage) however caused, which may be suffered, or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of the use of , or inability to use, Palimpsest Demo.
